Our forums operated between 2004 and 2015 after which time we largely moved to our Facebook page (which is still running).

We've now placed the revived forums back online with a refreshed version of the original software and new (updated!) content

Since the settlement of Sydney in 1788, the harbour and rivers of the Sydney basis have figured as an important transport corridor for the city and suburbs. Almost immediately people began utilising the waterways to move goods and people and early waterman's craft were amongst the first ferries. As time went by the boats became more sophisticated and numerous and in the case of the Manly ferries, the largest on the harbour. In time (prior to the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge) Sydney had the largest ferry fleet in the world. Our forums showcase the history of the vessels, companies and people that have contributed to the history of our ferry fleets past and present,
