Formed as a side project of the British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.), the production company formed by Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, after their departure from the The Human League in 1980. Known for hit singles such as Temptation & Let Me Go.

The name "Heaven 17" is derived from Stanley Kubrick's movie "A Clockwork Orange", where Heaven 17 is mentioned as one of the hip bands in the record store scene.

Real Name : Marc Cerrone

Born May 24, 1952 in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris, France.

French disco-electro songwriter, producer, label manager, arranger and drummer.

Father of Greg Cerrone, brother of Jean-Pierre Cerrone.

At age 18 he became musical director of the "Club Mediterranée" vacation clubs / holiday resorts.

In 1972, he formed and led Kongas, with several hits and a very lucrative contract with the French label Barclay.

Cerrone went solo in 1976. The same year, he also created the Malligator group that he still manages.
Since then, he has released over 25 solo albums, including soundtracks.

With Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte and Frank Farian, Cerrone is amongst the most pivotal figures of the Euro disco sound.

Most recent release was in 2024.

US club DJ, remixer and producer associated with Disconet remix service and the West Coast Hi-NRG scene (Moby Dick). Michael used "Michael Lewis" as his DJing name and "Mike Lewis" on his label credits. In the 70's and 80's Michael Lewis was one the most important DJs on the U.S. West Coast. He wrote the Disco column for Billboard magazine 1979-1980 and in 1981 was selected the Best Regional DJ. In 1979 he received the Award Of Merit's Best Disco DJ from the California Disco DJ Association. Michael made numerous contributions to the Disconet, Hot Tracks and Razormaid remix services. He was also associated with the West Coast Hi-NRG label Moby Dick Records.
